Priti Patel has been Shadow Foreign Secretary under Kemi Badenoch since November 2024. As Home Secretary from 2019 to 2022 she introduced the post-Brexit points-based immigration system and originated the Rwanda asylum plan; she earlier served as International Development Secretary.
