Wealth Tax Calculator
There is no UK wealth tax today. This tool models the main proposal — the Green Party's — of 1% a year on net wealth above £10m and 2% above £1bn.
A what-if, not a forecast. No UK wealth tax exists; this models the Green Party's proposed rates. It ignores valuation and liquidity questions that a real wealth tax would raise. Not financial advice.

How the proposed wealth tax works
The Green Party proposes an annual wealth tax of 1% on net wealth above £10 million and 2% above £1 billion. Because it only starts at £10m, the overwhelming majority of people would pay nothing. Read the full explainer and debate on the Green wealth tax page.
Other parties take different routes to taxing wealth: Labour rules out an annual wealth tax but abolished non-dom status and raised capital gains tax; the Lib Dems would reform capital gains tax instead.
