Under the main proposal (the Green Party's), only net wealth above £10 million is taxed — 1% a year above £10m and 2% above £1bn. If your net wealth is below £10 million you would pay nothing.

How much would the wealth tax be?

1% a year on the slice of net wealth between £10m and £1bn, and 2% on anything above £1bn. For example, £15m of wealth would pay 1% on £5m = £50,000 a year.

How the proposed wealth tax works
